The creation of Sol Metal Designs was inspired by a shared love of recreational sports in the outdoors. Sarah Rose and Don Drewco work out of their home in Kamloops and believe that playing in the outdoors keeps the soul happy. Their start to the business was inspired by their friend Keith Berens, owner of Live Metal Works in Nelson, BC, the founding creator of the metal figures. From mountain biking to nordic skiing, showshoe running to unicycling, Don and Sarah have played hard over the years and have tried to capture the expression in the body that each sport required, giving each figure a style of its own. They have added rock to many of their pieces to give a natural feeling to the work, wile bringing another taste of the outdoors into your home.
