Joanne Hastie is a young emerging artist from Kanata, Ont. She graduated 2006 from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and has recently moved to Kamloops, BC to start her career as a design engineer. In her spare time she love to paint and she is enjoying painting the scenic views of British Columbia.

A self taught artist, Joanne sold her first painting of a blue jay in 1997 when she was 15. That summer she also painted murals at the Corel Center YMCA and at C.H.E.O, both in Ottawa, Ontario.

Joanne enjoys sports including Cross-country Mountain biking and downhill biking. Her paintings show this as most of her work includes biking trails and the outdoors.
