| Don is a retired machinist and businessman with a lifelong interest in all types of woodworking. He makes many of his own tools that he uses to turn projects on the lathe. He uses locally grown wood that has been cured for more than twenty years, as well as exotic woods from all over the world. Don's woodwork has been featured in galleries in Oregon and Washington, as well as several galleries on Vancouver Island, so his turnings have found homes in many countries of the world. He has also donated some of his turnings to the B.C. Wildlife Federation and the Canadian Trappers Association. Don started turning in 1970 and he is still actively producing at 85. |
