| Mike Peet was born in Hope B.C. He began his love of woodworking in the log home building business. In 1994 however, he had to give up his career due to a leg injury. This inspired him to begin working with smaller pieces of wood. His first piece was a recreation of a Conestoga wagon for his father in law that won a masters award in the Barriere Fall Fair Exhibition. After this he knew that he would continue to work with wood in an artistic and creative way. He began by making simple scrolled ornaments for children at Christmas time. These blossomed into the gorgeous ornaments now displayed in galleries such as our own. He now resides in Kamloops and continues his manufacturing of "wood art". |
